{A quick note: You may see posts signed off with my previous birth name. In 2023, I legally changed my name to Sheryl Saint Clair — a shift that reflects who I’m become. The stories are still mine. The sparkle definitely still is. xx}

Haute couture is my #1 favorite of all the collection shows. It's in Paris. It's gorgeous. It's personal. And, it's the best of the best. Only a handful of fashion designers pass the high fashionable grade by the members of the Fédération française de la couture, du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode (English: French Federation of Fashion and of Ready-to-Wear of Couturiers and Fashion Designers) and granted the status of couture on their labels and advertising for the beautiful garments they make for very wealthy and very well-dressed fashionistas worldwide.

And then, you never know, maybe that's the day she has a date with destiny. And it's best to be as pretty as possible for destiny." -Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, Haute Couture designer
July in Paris is when the shows take place showing Fall/Winter and so, when the Parisians have skipped town for the summer months to vacation on the salty, blue coastline of beach towns like Saint Tropez, the fashion set gather to the bi-annual haute couture show.
Check out this year's Fall '12 collections from my University's fashion blog as they take on the best.
